Tracy began her career with a scholarship to The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater that led to her working with such choreographers as Jerome Robbins, Michael Peters, Patricia Birch, Wayne Cilento and Jaime Rogers. She later hung up her dancing shoes and entered the world of acting then, later on, moved into teaching dance.
